Patient Communication & Trauma-Informed Approach
Most patients in the practice are psychiatrically stable. However, many are women with significant trauma histories, including experiences involving male perpetrators. As a result, patients may respond best to a calm, gentle, compassionate, and nonjudgmental communication style.

Occasionally, patients may be experiencing increased emotional distress or require a particularly sensitive approach. You will not be expected to provide therapy or act as a therapist. However, the ideal candidate should be patient, empathetic, emotionally stable, and comfortable using thoughtful communication while maintaining clear professional boundaries.

What I'm Looking For
I am currently the sole provider, but the practice is growing and additional providers may be added in the future. I am looking for someone who can become a dependable, long-term member of the practice and grow with us.

The ideal person is someone who takes initiative, communicates well, follows through on tasks, treats patients with compassion and respect, and can work independently without needing constant supervision.

Please be honest about your experience. I can train the right person, and I do not expect you to know everything from day one. What is most important to me is honesty, reliability, willingness to learn, and the ability to follow through.

Please do not exaggerate your experience or claim skills you do not have. Discovering after hiring that someone cannot perform tasks they represented themselves as being experienced in can be frustrating for both sides. I would much rather know your actual experience level so I can determine whether I can provide the training and support you need.

How to Apply
Please send me a direct message containing ALL of the following:

A short introductory video telling me about yourself and your relevant experience

Your resume/CV

Your expected hourly rate

Your general Monday–Friday availability in U.S. Central Time

How long you would be able to commit to the position

Applications without both an introductory video and resume/CV will not be considered.

The video does not need to be professionally produced. A casual setting and casual attire are completely fine. The purpose is to assess your English communication skills, conversational style, professionalism, and overall fit, while also giving me an opportunity to get to know you.

Please do not read from your phone, computer, or a piece of paper. I am looking for a natural, conversational introduction. There is no need to make the video perfect — just be yourself and tell me a little about your background and experience.

You may record the video and upload it to Google Drive or a similar platform, then send the link with your application. Please make sure the sharing permissions allow the video to be viewed.

I look forward to hearing from candidates who are dependable, compassionate, organized, honest, and interested in becoming a long-term part of a growing psychiatry practice.
